Linkert69 wins Hoop Duel #1
The first ever College Hoops Duel came down to the last game on the schedule, Wisconsin vs. Marquette (a game which was itself close at the end). By winning 6 consecutive rounds of one-on-one duels against other players, linkert69 becomes the first ever College Hoops Duel champion - and will receive the week 1 prize of a choice of $100 cash or an Apple iPod Nano 8GB.
The College Hoops Duel is a unique game format released by Ultimate Eliminator, where players pick winners of a scheduled number of NCAA college basketball games, and then players are arranged in a large tournament-style bracket.
To win the match, players must win round by round, defeating harder opponents at each stage with their picks. Linkert69 won six rounds of one-on-one duels, defeating torerodrizzle in the finals.
